Full-Time Banquet Cook

Principal responsibility is to prepare and cook selected menu from standard recipes to provide all guests with an exceptional experience for contracted events at The Madison Event Center.

Duties:
Daily preparation and proper management of food
Daily cleaning, sanitation, organization, and storage of all kitchen equipment and utensils
Receiving new stock with proper rotation of all old stock
Food preparation list development
Executing and delivering all food to proper outlets in a timely fashion
Maintaining dish area in a sanitary fashion including washing, sanitizing, putting dishes away, sweeping, and mopping
Work with all team members on daily tasks
All other duties assigned

Banquet Bartender

Perform responsible and legal alcohol service to guests over the age of 21 for contracted events at The Madison Event Center and Hotel Covington.

Duties:
Remain guest-focused while performing all assigned duties before, during, or after an event
Assume 100% responsibility for quality guests’ experience
Welcome and greet guests upon entering The Madison/Hotel Covington
Provide information about our food, beverages, and other functions and services
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Set up, tear down, and clean banquet areas for events
Ready and willing to assist other team members with event duties
Handle tables, chairs, linens, tableware, and décor carefully to prevent breakage and loss
Always follow safe food handling guidelines
Handle payment from guests
Attend all scheduled employee meetings and provide suggestions for improvement
Perform closing financial work and duties

Banquet Captain

Principal responsibility is to manage event staff & guest expectations efficiently & effectively while providing all guests with an exceptional experience for contracted events at The Madison Event Center and Hotel Covington.

Duties:
Remain guest focused while performing all assigned duties before, during and after an event
Assume 100% responsibility for the quality of each guest experience
Welcome and greet guests upon entering The Madison/Hotel Covington
Provide information about our food, beverages and other functions and services
Responsible for all event staff within their room
Record the times of employees as they clock in & out
Use the timeline and matrix to organize staff and delegate responsibilities
Check the bars, coolers & hotboxes for all specialty items pre-event
Verify ballroom is set according to approved floorplan
Ensure all decorations are set up according to provided instructions
Retrieve alcohol for the event from the liquor room and record consumption
Responsible for closing out registers and credit card machines each night
Responsible for checking all employee assignments at the end of their shifts
Maintain clean and fully stocked prep area, restrooms, and ballroom
Ready and willing to assist other team members with event duties
Handle tables, chairs, linens, tableware, and décor carefully to prevent breakage and loss
Always follow safe food handling guidelines
Clean and reset ballroom at the end of every event
Attend all scheduled employee meetings and provide suggestions for improvement

Banquet Greeter

Principal responsibility is to welcome all guests to our venue with a smile and provide all guests with an exceptional experience for contracted events at The Madison Event Center and Hotel Covington.

Duties:
Remain guest focused while performing all assigned duties before, during, or after an event
Verify that all event signs are correct sign holders and that you have a list of all events for the main sign and greeter desk
Check restrooms before the event begins and throughout the night, spot clean, and restock as needed
Unlock front door and ensure main entrance areas are clean, spot clean as needed
Setup smoking stanchions and cigarette bin outside
All event spaces are expected to be ready 15 minutes before the start of the event, check with the Banquet Captain before sending guests to the event space
Kindly greet and welcome all guests as they arrive and direct them to the appropriate event
Upon the arrival of Bridal Parties or Guests of Honor, contact the appropriate Banquet Captain
Spot clean and remove all glassware in lobby areas throughout the evening

Ceremony Coordinator

Principal responsibility is to manage ceremony rehearsal and wedding ceremony events efficiently & effectively while providing all guests with an exceptional experience for contracted events at The Madison Event Center and Hotel Covington.

Duties:
Arrive 30 minutes before rehearsal begins
First contact with Guests of Honor
Use ceremony check list to record ceremony information
Check ceremony space setup and decor according to provided instructions
Set up and rehearse ceremony according to Client’s wishes
Day of Ceremony, Coordinator must arrive one hour before ceremony
Attend to guests of honor and their party
Communicate with the Officiant about timing and organization
Introduce Client to the Team Leader(s) running their reception
Clean Wedding suite and ceremony space and take any item left to the reception space

Banquet Dishwasher

Principal responsibility is to provide a clean and safe kitchen area. Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.

Duties:
Remain guest-focused while performing all assigned duties before, during, or after an event
Assumes 100% responsibility for the cleanliness of dishware
Washes and polishes dishes, flatware, and glassware
Maintains clean and safe work space
Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems to Management immediately
Bag and haul trash to the dumpster
Handle tables, chairs, linens, tableware, and décor carefully to prevent breakage and loss
Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
Always follow safe food handling guidelines
Attend all scheduled employee meetings and provides suggestions for improvement
Other duties as assigned
